History

Jeffrey Kishner
Sasstrology is published, edited and produced by Jeffrey Kishner, who has been blogging about astrology since 2001 or so. His first blog was Astrology at the Movies, followed by Lunar Tunes. Jeffrey found that many readers were discovering the blog by searching for phrases like, “How to make a Scorpio fall in love with you,” so as an experiment he started a new blog in 2006 (which was then called Seduction Central) in which he wrote posts answering these types of questions. He did this for about 1 1/2 years, and then started to bring in other writers to supplement the content and to give Jeffrey the time to focus on “the business.”

In 2008, Jeffrey—realizing that Seduction Central sounded like a blog for pick-up artists—re-branded it as Sasstrology. As of this writing, it is one of the most popular astrology blogs on the web, and according to one ranking site that takes into account a variety of statistics, it’s Number One.

As a complement to Seduction Central, Jeffrey started a forum off-site (on ning.com) to provide an avenue for readers to discuss relationship astrology amongst themselves. He later moved the forum to Sasstrology. It is now one of the most popular features on the site.

The editorial approach of Sasstrology is more-or-less intended for readers who want more than Sun sign horoscopes, but who are not super-advanced in their astrological studies. Some of the articles require an understanding of the planetary archetypes and astrological aspects. We strive to feature articles that are well-written, entertaining, and insightful.

Jupiter’s Transit of Leo and Relationships for the Fixed Signs

"Jupiter is about to change signs. On July 16th, 2014, the planet of optimism will enter Leo, giving the words “Love me” a non-negotiable edge. Leo is about pride and pure self-expression, but this sign also craves the sparkle of new romance and indulgent play. Mix in Jupiter’s buoyancy, and you’ll have a bonfire of romantic opportunity. This could be the time to take a romantic risk (Leo rules gambling), demand the best for yourself in a relationship, or play the field. This transit will encourage people to be themselves … unapologetically. No one will want to be told what they can’t have. Jupiter will be in Leo until August 11th, 2015; read on to see how it will impact the Fixed signs. Your relationships will most likely be impacted if your Sun, Moon, Venus, Mars, ruler of your 7th House, or 5th/7th Houses are in a Fixed sign."
